“Flavor” by Rocco Dispirito is a cookbook for creatives

This is one of my all time favorite cookbooks. It’s well designed with color-coded instructions, full page photos with bleeds, and even photos of the ingredients for the recipes. Rocco does a great job of illustrating his “global fusion” cusine. Rocco was the Chef on NBC’s “The Restaurant”, one of my favorite reality shows, well…at least season one. Creatives or anyone for that matter, if you own any cookbooks, this one is a must!

I went through Fall 2007 class projects and added the links to my student work page. I was impressed with the work, because most of them didn’t have any interactive design experience. The students worked hard, and designed some good work, and I think learned how creativity can be discovered in the interactive medium. I’m very proud all of them, and it’s very rewarding to see them grow creatively. I eventually hired a student, Jenna, as an interactive production artist at Swanson Russell. I hired 2 interns, and one full-timer from my spring 2007 class last may.
